Mission Statement
The goal of the Tennessee Valley Post Polio Support Group is to empower its members, through education and fellowship, and by providing the tools necessary to make adjustments needed to continue a life of dignity and independence.
During the original illness, many polio survivors were hospitalized for extended periods of time and established an esprit de corps. After successful rehabilitation, the same survivors lived active, integrated lives.
Members of the TVPPSG belong to a unique group, where they can come and share with other people who have had similar experiences, and learn about the latest in advances in the fight against post polio syndrome.
