Universal Studios demanded that I take down this transcript (more information). Unfortunately, I have not found another transcript of this episode online, but there are transcripts to other episodes. There are also several transcripts available only to members of the "My-Cicely" mailing list on Yahoo Groups. One transcript is "Cicely" and it evidently originated from this site! "Cicely"
Joel literally runs into an old man who reveals a first-hand account of their town's early development. Through Joel's imagination, the current residents are cast as characters from Cicely's 1909 days. The story: Roslyn and Cicely enter this scrubby hamlet and turn it into a cafe society, beacon to literati. It is about how "two people can work miracles," and the challenges people take on to make their life a truly human existence.
