1878 - Born in Edinburgh, second daughter of Lord John Trayner and Francis Elizabeth Maxwell (Wyld) 18 ? - Became a Roman Catholic Nun 1900 - Census records her living with some cousin Wylds in Kensington as a visitor 1903 - Became Baptised and then a month later confirmed 1923 - Entered the convent at Arundel Poor Clares 1935 - Resigned from the convent due to ill health 19 ? - Died in Littlehampton (rumour from my gran) Wrote to the Catholic Nun Index in the hopes that they would be able to help me with some information. They could not find her on their list. I was then told by Jeffrey McCormack (a cousin who I met through this website) that she was a Poor Clare I wrote to the Poor Clare Convent in Southampton (nearest Littlehampton) to see if they had records, a sister there recommended I write to Arundel Poor Clares. I did and they were able to provide me with a photocopy of her 'Proffession' record. I had proof that she existed beyond 1900. However I do not know what happened to her between 1903 when she was confirmed and 1923 when she entered the convent. Next thing to do is visit Littlehampton and search graves.
