Built a large shooting lodge on the moors (Aaseral - the hills above Mandal) to go with his Lorimer designed House in Mandal.
Interesting as an insight into Lord and Lady Salvesen's life and what was happening in Edinburgh during his lifetime is the following book that I was able to find a copy of in Leith library Edinburgh:  "Memoirs of Lord Salvesen", H.F. Andorsen (ED), Edinburgh 1949.
