1893 - Lord Trayner decided to move to North Berwick with his wife Frances 1898 - Robert Lorimer (later Sir) commissioned to design and build Trayner's Grange in North Berwick 1894 - Commissioned distant relative newly set up as an architect to design and build a house 1894 - Robert Stodart Lorimer accepted the commission designed and built the house and they moved in 1904 - Lord Trayner resigned from the bench and sold Trayner's Grange (four years later Frances died) 1904 - Captain Armitage commissioned Robert Lorimer to extend and revise the house 1908 - Sir Robert Lorimer carried out alterations to the property: central heating and an extra wing 19?? - Captain Armstrong sold the property 19?? - The property was divided into three separate houses 2000 - The land beside the property is redeveloped as a Manor Kingdom Estate named 'Trayner's Grange' |
