Map Submission and Tools |
Maps make thing much easier, especially online. But they can require a bit of work and must meet the standards set by the DM for thier inclusion into the campaign. The Island nation of Tal'Shandor is the creation of the DM and as such should be respected. Locations of any kind do not exist in play or on the island until the DM has had opportunity to approve them. To make this easier we also provide a link to a great mapmaking tool along with the guidelines for submission. - Whether a private home, a business, a temple or anything else, first select the general location you wish it to be. - Create a map, with full key and description of what is there. The DM and Staff need to know the secrets if any but a second public map may be done as well. - Submit the maps and keys to the DM at TW0EDGE@starband.net You will be informed if your map request is acceptable or if any changes need to be made at that time. Please only e-mail the DM after all of the above steps are complete. If your map is approved, you will be required to place it on a webpage with the approved description information. It is recommended you follow the format used with existing maps. You will be responsible for any and all updates to the map as well as making the DM aware of changes that require re-approval. Once your map is up and ready for viewing, e-mail PrinSlarus@aol.com with the link to your map page and a brief description of the type of room it is (ie. public business, private home.......) If you do not have a decent mapping program, we highly recommend using Dungeon Crafter. It is a free program and very user friendly. Go to the download section and select DC1. There is another version, DC2, but it is not yet out of testing and is not currently being used by the group. You may find the program at: http://dungeoncrafter.com If you need a little help in understanding how to use it to best advantage there is a great tutorial guide which can be found at: Tyger's Dungeon Crafter Guide. There are many additional tiles which may be used with the program. Zip files have been created after an exhaustive search and are available to players who request them. Simply e-mail PrinSlarus@aol.com to ask for them. |
