| Before you submit a character or enter the fun of roleplaying and adventuring with us, please take the time to read though these established rules. Their goal is not to stifle player enjoyment or creativity, instead they exist to ensure everyone within the group, DM or Player, is able to have an enjoyable experience while playing in our rooms. The Staff of Edge of the Realms seeks to provide a fun forum for gaming to mature players. We only accept submissions from players 16 years of age or older. We apologise to players under 16 but our game does include content that is not appropriate for all ages. **Please note that submitting a character is your agreement to follow these rules. We reserve the right to remove any character from our game if the player chooses to conduct themselves in a manner that goes against our standards.** |

| Player Etiquette Rules for in character/out of character Interaction: While in character mode (IC) the players interact as their characters would, be that good, bad or indifferent. Out of character or in player mode, players need to make an effort to interact politely and maturely. Keep the boundaries between player and character in place at all times. Mixing character and player information is not allowed. We take this seriously and it can result in the loss of experience points or the termination of your player status in the group. Excess use of profanity is not allowed in the chat rooms. Use of sexually explicit details is not allowed in the chat rooms. There will be no harassment of our players allowed at anytime, whether sexual in nature or in the form of personal verbal attacks. The emotional well being of our players is a high priority of ours. Remember that we are all real people behind the characters. Please treat others as you would want to be treated. A positive connection is the responsibility of each of us. |
| The DM & Staff TW0EDGE, as the DM, is head of this group. His word is final. The DM does not run this group on his own though. He has a Staff who contribute to many aspects of the game, including but not limited to - Player Interaction, Storyline Introduction, Encounter and Adventure DMing, Research and Rules Testing. In addition, each Staff member has a designated area of expertise beyond the above that they focus their research and time to handling. Please take note of which person is best suited to answer your questions. Please respect our effort and our time. Limit your instant message questions to two in a twenty-four hour period. If you know that your question will require research, permission from the DM (when you have chosen to discuss your issue with someone other than TW0EDGE), or the answer will be a complex one..please do not send the question in an IM. Please choose to e-mail your complicated questions to the proper staff person. If you are informed that your question is too complex to answer quickly, needs to be researched or needs special permission from the DM after you have asked it, then please repeat your question in an e-mail to the person you IM'ed. When we are busy we often forget requests that are made in instant messages or in the chat room. |
