Setting off from Rabanal at 5.30am in the morning. The blind leading the blind.

We started climbing hills today on our way to Ponferrada, 31km away.Sunrise showing
we have left the mesetas behind.

Maureen taking a breather after climbing for a couple of hours. Note all the graffitti
on the side of the little chapel Maureen is resting against, much polically related, ie activists
who want province of Leon/Castilla to be autonomous.

A ramshackle refugio in the abandoned village of Majurin run by an eccentric guy,
who thinks he a knight templar, sent to protect pilgrims from bandits and marauding
Moors!

Taken from one of the highest spots on the Camino at 1550m. Santiago is somewhere
behind farthest peak

Tony above village of El Aciebo. Kate, note the boots are back on again. Don't have
to worry about me walking around Toronto with socks, sandals and a pilgrim's staff!!

Maureen outside an abondoned house in village of El Aciebo. Pity because it
has a great view.

One of the frequent simple metal crosses that mark the Camino.

A sheperd and his mutt that we met along the Camino path through the mountains.

The town of Molinseca in the distance, just 7km from Ponferrada. We are now down
to appprox 205km to Santiago.
