Internships at The Women's Center, Inc.
Advance your education while touching the lives of others!
    Fall 2009 isn't too far away!  The Women's Center, Inc. accepts interns from a variety of disciplines.  These include, but are not limited to, social work, criminal justice, communications, political science, business, and marketing.
     Internships are a critical stepping stone when students transition from a college or univeristy into the workplace.  Accredited internship programs provide students with valuable experience that can be applied to various careers.
     Upon completion of internships, many interns have secured full-time employment with The Women's Center, Inc.
     Internships also look good on a resume!
     To qualify for an internship with The Women's Center, Inc. students must meet the following criteria:
~ Attend an accredited college or university with a status of second semester sophomore or above.

~ Currently have, and maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher.  (Expectations will only be considered with the recommendation of the student's department head.)

~ Provide a copy of your resume.

~ Provide two letters of recommendation from professors in your specific academic department.

~ Complete The Women's Center agency training before or within the first week of starting the internship.

~ Have a genuine interest in helping others.
