How do I keep my kids safe on the internet?
The best solution to keeping your kid safe on the internet is to sit over their shoulder the whole time they are on the computer. The only problem with this is, who has the time to do that? That is where parental filter programs come in. These are programs that block you child's access obscene content. The two biggest programs out there are Cyber Sitter and Net Nanny. Both of these programs block obscene website based on a database that is updated daily. They both also offer free updates. But there are some differences to look at between the two. - Family safe filter search. This limits what results will come up if you child uses a search engine.
- Can be set to block all chat and IM, violent online games, newsgroups, and illegal downloads of music and movies.
