How do I maintain my user accounts?
Windows XP is great because it allows you to create multiply user. This allow every one in your family to setup Windows just the way they like without interfering with someone else's setting. It also work great to limit access of system files for children.
First click on the start menu and then click on [control panel]
You should the see a windows similar to one of
the two below. Both are the same just setup difference views. (The one with the
blue background is Windows default. The second view is for more advanced users.)
No matter which one you have click on
Once you opened it should look simular to this.
If you click on an account at the bottom this window will appear. From here you can change the setting for that account. To change account just hit the [back] button and click on the one you want. From here you can limit a users access by changing the account type. A limit user can not change system setting and may not be able to install all program. An administrator can do anything they want.
