Date: 1st July 2001 Well, today was the final of Peterborough Band of the Year 2001. The contenders for the title included Indigo, Broken Edge, Traveller and ourselves (that's tWeaK by the way). We played in that order and Indigo kicked off the day with the brilliant 'Dragnet' and continued to play well throughout their set. Next on were Broken Edge who got the crowd going and then Traveller who played a blinder.. Then it was our turn. We started off and I felt it was the best we have ever played Cheers Adam for the PA sound. The crowd seemed to enjoy the show and we came off tired and sweaty (nice!). Anyway the results were...... 1st Traveller and 2nd tWeaK We didn't win it, which was a little dissapointing but I was still pleased for Traveller who won. Well done lads and well done to everyone else. If anyone saw our set, leave a message or mail us to let us know what you thought. Cheers now, Andy. |
Date 1st August 2001. Well I have made an executive desicion to clear all of the old news from the news page. Sorry lads, it was too full and we're the only people who read it anyway. We played a blinder at the Willow Festival. Cheers to everyone who came to watch us epecially Nobby it was our biggest crowd. Then we played a real lame gig at the Cherry Tree but it doesn't matter. We were all tired and didn't bother with a sound check blah blah blah.... Anyway we have another gig at the Norfolk on the 2nd of August. Sorry if it's short notice but we only knew ourselves yesterday. There is a great PA there (we could be ultra loud) so come down and watch Peterboroughs most unproffesional band. We have not practiced for donkeys years. Try to get down because the Norfolk is closing soon and it would be good to see them off with a bang. The pub has done a really good job for the local music scene. Our T-shirts are also available at the gig. They are £8 by the way. |
Date 8th October 2001. Well not much has gone on at Castle tWeaK recently. We have had a couple of practices, written a new song, played two gigs (Rock and Rods and The Met Lounge) Rock and Rods was pretty good, we had the set recorded and it sounds pretty buzzing aparently. The Met Lounge was a really cool gig. We cocked up one song and had to start it again half way through. Neil jumped up and knocked his guitar mic over. I put it up again while the other two carried on. Then I fell over and kept playing. Sev kept laughing an missing beats. I lobbed a T-shirt at Neils face as he was about to start a chorus. All in all a pretty buzzing gig. And someone called NEZZER said we where on of his favourite bands in the town. AND WE DON'T KNOW WHO HE IS!!! T-shirts reduced by 3p. NOW ONLY £7.97. |
