Hawke arrived in the TWF under a slightly different spelling, 'Hawk'. But to distinguish the difference between him and the late Road Warrior Hawk, and extra 'e' added on the end. And he'd claim it stood to excellence.
When Hawke arrived, under much publicy, it was with a group of 4 superstars...'The Man' Gareth Cole, High Voltage and 'Stone Kold' Karl Davies. SKKD left the group just before they arrived on TWF TV and formed The Alliance, which is the precursor to the Red Hoodie Crew. Hawke immeadiately targetted Mr. BIG, NJS and Marz, the Z-Pack faction. This was not a good idea however. What was a good idea was the fact he was part of the infamous 2001 TWF Royal Rumble, which saw 6 men eliminating each other. They all fought at Easter Heat in a Battle Royal and Hawke was the 2nd man eliminated. At this time, Hawke launched an attack on the Light Heavyweight Championship. He defeated the holder High Voltage at Against All Odds 2001 and then became the first TWF Tag-Team Champions besides FX.
That partnership with The Mangler Gareth Cole was shortlived, for soon Hawke, along with his friends Frekishi and The Alliance, brought the name BCW onto TWF TV. The faction feuded with The New Inc. and later Z-Pack before Hawke lost a match which meant the BCW had to leave. Hawke however wriggled a clause and instead re-formed BCW under a guise more familiar to even the casual TWF Fan...The bPA. Hawke began to show a side to him which most die-hard TWF fans knew existed. It took time, but Hawke became TWF World Champion in June 2003, almost 3 years after he entered the TWF. He is now leader of the bPA and a member of Mr. Edwards' vicious Seek & Destroy faction. Hawke is loved by few, hated by many and loathed by the fans the worldover. Considering that's exactly what he's always wanted, he's done quite alright...
