The Vambraces

The plates for the vambraces are riveted to a leather backing, which is then wrapped around the forearm. It is held closed with laces. My version has nine plates for each vambrace: four on the inside of the arm, and five on the outside. In the movie, there are actually eight plates on the outside, but I decided against trying to imitate it that far.

In the picture, you can see the plates for both vambraces painted in the base colour, as well as the leather backings.
