Our Goal to come is to adopt one dog a month from our local shelter that is to be put to sleep. Work with the dog. Advertise it. And find it a loving a home. We are just starting it. It is brand new. Will be a few months to get off the ground. I hope no longer. But to save at least one dog a month is our goal. If we place a dog sooner? Then maybe two in that month? And so on. Here is Tasha!  Here is the story of Tasha. I purchased her for $400.00 from a breeder. She had been abused so badly. That I had to find her profesional help. I spent three months finding her a new home. Thanks to some Poodle Resue people. We found her one. Well they did. And she is what motivated me to start this rescue. She was so bad when I first got her. She would crawl on the floor on her belly afraid she would be hit. I spent hours everyday loving and training her. I almost had her put down. I felt there was no way I could help her. So I had to find her a good home. And I listed her all over the internet. Wrote about 50 poodle resuce people. But I just kept working with Tasha. She was the sweetest dog I had ever owned. And when she left. I felt so sad to see her go. It was like losing a good friend. But she needed special help. And I could in no way afford it. Her breeder would do nothing about it. She acted like it was just my problem. So I told myself. I would do something to help dogs likes this. And people in need with dogs like this. Tasha is now getting the help she needs. And will be getting a great loving home. She would have been put to sleep probaby if not for me and a few others. She was that bad. I rescued her by accident. This is my first dog I am finding a home for. I just rescued him today. He is sweet, And a very playful little dog. He was going to be put down. We saved his life. The shelter was full. So many dogs. Most will be put to sleep sad to say. We payed the adoption fee. And now we have to get him all his shots. And have him fixed. We need your help. Please help. I took a step of faith and am believing I can make this work. With the help of others. I am doing all the work. All I need is for others to help me help dogs like this. I was shocked at the dogs being put to sleep. Let's save at least one dog a month. We can do it. I am calling him Bruce for now. He is a beagal mix. I am house training him. He is learning already. He will make a great pet. He needs your love. I can't help all the dogs. But I can pick one at a time. And to that one it makes a differance. Bruce is getting his shots today. He is only 8 months old. We ask for a $50.00 adoption fee. That includes all shots, wormed,  and being spayed or neutered. 1/16/03 Bruce just got fixed today. He is ready for a home. I am really disappointed no one would help with him. But I did it on my own. Well at least I saved one dog. But in order to save another I must have help. Seems so many people say oh poor dogs being put down. But who will actually do something to help? Talk is cheap. It is easy to say we care. But it takes action. So far I have found no one who will say yes I will help. For now I am sorry to say Bruce will be the last dog we can help. I hope to continue in the future.
