Hi!
My name is Babe!


It's ok, you can come in.....nobody home but me!

I live in Southern Ohio, north of Cincinnati.

I was born in Tennessee.

I was an orphan and I latched onto these people
at their summer home down there in the lake country?

You know? Kinda hangin' around the front porch?
Lookin' cute till they fed me?

You have to admit I put on a pretty good act for 'em?


Well....it started gettin' chilly outside and "Mom"
gave me a little blanket. But it got a little colder
in the fall months? And "Dad" thought I should come
inside. "Mom" bought me a "litter" box and I made
myself at home.

"Dad" kept telling "Mom" to find me a good home,
But...I just knew "Dad" liked me.
So I acted cute and did all the neat kitty things,
until they got attached to me.

They have a little dog, named "Chrissy" but she
won't play with me. You know, one of those expensive
little dogs that lay around all day

.....she's no fun at all.

But they have another pet that I just love
to play with.. His name is "Bertie."



"Bertie" is a real swingin' parakeet!

Hey! He loves it!

"Bertie" is a "secret" talker.

When "Mom" and "Dad" leave us alone?

"Bertie" yells...."C'mere Babe!"

So....I just jump up on the window sill and....
give him a swing!


And THEN the day arrived. They took me to
the vet. I was soooo innocent. I had no
idea what was gonna happen!
I already got my shots! But "Mom" made
another appointment for me with the vet.
I heard them whispering.

The next week I got to ride in the van
again...and they took me back to that vet!
And LEFT me!

Hey? You hear that stupid music playing?

Just reach down there where the music is.....
and turn off that dumb song for me? Please?

The name of the song is:
"Someday My Prince Will Come?"

"Mom" thinks she's FUNNY!!
She had me spayed!


Well....I have this pretty cushy life.....

This is my own chair and my own afghan!



I sit and watch "Mom" at her computer.
And sometimes I sit on her lap and watch
the screen. I even touch the keys on
that machine....but she says.....
I need typing lessons!


They buy me great food and good snacks
and I like a bit of turkey once in a while.
I'm kinda picky.

And toys? I've got soooo many toys!!
Never touch 'em.



I do like to play around in a "Walmart"
bag once in a while?

And chase little plastic bottle tops around.

The Humane Society of the United States, in its
constant battle to end animal neglect, cruelty
and abuse, encourages all of its members to take
the following actions in support of animals:




Make sure your pet wears an identification tag to
enable him to be returned to you if lost.


Animal behavioral problems can be health related.
Make sure your pet has a complete medical exam by
a veterinarian at least once a year.


Prepare for disasters.  Make sure you have a plan
for your pet in the event of hurricane, tornado,
fire or flood.


Plan for your pet's future
in case something happens to you.


Have a heart, be smart and
make sure your pet is spayed or neutered.
