This was another one of the fun days. We got there and went into the dome and rode the ride that was a history of communications or something... really kind of a boring ride. I was pretty tired by this day, so I slept whenever I could and that ride was a good opportunity. Then we spent hours at the Test Track ride. The first time we just stood in line and didn't bother to get a fast pass. It took a long time, but the ride was pretty cool. We probably went on it about 4 or 5 more times that day. One time when we came to the camera Steve and Cardyl flashed the camera (more nipples.. haha). We were gonna buy that picture (we bought a picture from every ride we went on) but they deleted it. Too inappropriate for Mickey Mouse I guess. Spent two hours eating lunch almost. After the choir performance we headed over to the world thingy where they all bought Kimonos and such. We realized a little too late that we shoulda spent less time at Test Track and eating lunch, because it was really cool over in the countries. At all the parks so far we'd seen these really good looking Turkey legs, so we finally decided to get some. They were 5 bucks each... sheesh. But there were really good. Steve and I had a sword fight with the turkey legs. Haha.. We could hardly eat half of them because they were so big, so we stuck them in a bag and took em back on the bus and to the hotel, where they sat in our ice bucket for a couple days. (until the day we left actually.) The maids were probably like.. What the hell? Anyways, we got our turkey legs right before Illuminations started. Dude, that was awesome.. Really cool fireworks thing.. They started the water on fire! And blew up a ship. It was cool. Then after that it was time to go. Cardyl did this little funny clown walk from cirque du soleil all the way out to the buses. hahaha.... |

Here's a picture of the beach we went to after our competition performance at Valencia University. I'd never been to a real beach before so this was pretty spiff. The water was so warm and waves... waves are cool. Except when you swallow water. Gross. Even getting it in your eyes when you have contacts in is horrible, ouch. Spent a couple hours in the water and then a couple more on the beach looking for shells.. without sunscreen. If you ever go to florida.. Wear sunscreen, there's a good reason for it. Or else... well you can probably figure out the rest. Just one hint though.. It hurts like HELL!!! |

Of all the parks, MGM had the best rides. Tower of Terror and Rock'n Roller Coaster were about the only rides that we really good. We went on Rock'n Roller Coaster a whole bunch of times, same with Tower of Terror. Didn't spend a whole lot of time here because we went over to Downtown Disney that day too. And you can only get to Downtown Disney from a resort, so it was two shuttle trips we had to take to get there, and then two back. Took another extra hour to get back into MGM for Fantasmic because Cardyl lost his park hopper pass. Fantasmic was another awesome show.. they had pictures in water. Hard to describe but it was really interesting. I don't even have a good picture of it because it was in the dark and they didn't turn out real well. Here again, they started Water on Fire. I spose that's something I shouldn't try at home... darn. |
