James Hyde plays the well-respected and handsome police chief Sam Bennett who adores his wife Grace and their children.
Born in Lancaster, Ohio, Hyde began modeling and acting at an early age. He was discovered by NBC when he auditioned at an open-casting call for “Sunset Beach.” Hyde won that competition and was featured in the daytime drama’s on-air promos.
Hyde’s other daytime television credits include his role as Neil on NBC’s “Another World” and Liam on “As the World Turns.” Additional television appearances include “Sex in the City,” “Models & Mortals,” “Mortal Kombat: Conquest” and “Miami Sands.” His feature film credits include “Let’s Talk About Sex” and “The Blackout” with Dennis Hopper.
Hyde relocated to Los Angeles from Miami, Florida with his wife, model Sue-Ling. When he is not working, he enjoys shopping for antiques, reading and basketball. He was born on October 9. |
