For Christmas '96 I recieved a 1984 Effanbee Legend Series doll. It's Judy Garland as Dorothy. She stands 14" tall w/ a basket on her right arm containing Toto. From her thick brown braids to her ruby red slippers, Effanbee has captured the very charm that made us all fall in love with Dorothy from the begining. I have no idea how much she's worth, my parents got her from an Antique shop in West Virginia. She is my absolute favorite of all my "Wizard of Oz" items. ~~Stephanie~~
I was at a yard sale on Friday and I found a scarecrow collector porcealin doll , mint in the box, for 2.00 and then I went to another table at the same sale and they had ordered the seriel from MGM for the anniversary recently, she said like 5 years ago. It was mated and framed . Beautiful. She was asking five dollars but I got it for2.50. Too cool.... ~~Tammy~~
I am a Big Wizard of OZ fan. I'm 42 years young and have loved the Wizard of Oz sense a child. I have a few oz item's I would like to share with you.Looking at a 7th av. book I found a 3D Wizard of OZ plate. I have the wicked witch and her black magic ball I got from the Franklin mint. MY favorite's are the one's I got from QVC. It was a good thing that I could't sleep that night or I would have missed them. They are very nice.And I bought all of the figurines. They are 7 inchs tall' and very heavy. The details on them are great. They almost look life like. If I see something with the Wizard of OZ on it I'll buy it. ~~Donna~~
