Description: A small black bird. Much like Quezacotl (who he is not directly related to, coincidentally), he doesn't appear to have 'features', just a shape. His body is a smooth substance with no feathers, which feels not unlike human skin. He can communicate without opening his mouth, and he doesn't seem to eat, so it's hard to know if his 'beak' opens or not. There are red markings on his chest. The red marks on his head are shaped kind of like eyes but are really just lines. This form is its actual form, but it can transform into a human as well as other disguises.

In human form, Israfel looks like a teenager and is a bit shorter than Wren at 5'9". The calm, knowing look on his face is decidedly inhuman and will almost always draw attention. He's also very elegant, a nearly perfect specimen of human form. He often sports a mysterious smile. His eyes are a soft brown-red and his hair a shimmering black, a bit longer and sleeker than Wren's own hairstyle. He has a female version of the same basic mold, should he feel the need to use it. Personality: Israfel is a very peculiar being. He makes full use of his shapeshifting powers to mislead people for no apparent reason. He may enjoy toying with and confusing people, but he doesn't seem to show it. He is very wise compared to humans, and yet still immature for an Aeon. He considers himself very powerful, wise and important, despite his low rank in the Aeon world. Sometimes he will jump to conclusions, but always has some excuse for his behavior and tries to maintain an all-knowing image. In truth he is fairly wise, but his youth limits this. He is considered prophetic among the Thunderbirds, as well as very powerful for his age. Still, he is regarded with mistrust and fear due to his attitude and independence.

In the end, Israfel is the Aeon equivalent of a rebellious, arrogant youth, but the way he acts merely leaves humans unsure what to think. In the ways of the Thunderbirds, names are given to represent those being named, rather than given at birth like humans generally do. The name Israfel is derived from ancient human poetry; the wistful longing to see other worlds is the source of Israfel's name. Long has he sought to visit the world of humans, for despite his cockiness towards them, Israfel is intrigued by humans and their emotions and struggles.

Sky Rock:Skyrock is a hard, luminous substance from the Aeon world which some Thunderbirds carry with them when they travel to the human world. Unlike our elements which change from solids, liquids, and gasses based on temperature and certain other factors, there are elements in the Aeon world which change forms based on willpower and magic. The Thunderbirds have become adept at manipulating Skyrock, and their massive nests are sculpted out of it. Skyrock conducts electricity, more specifically, magical electricity, which explains why the Thunderbirds can control it so well. Weapons or staves made out of Skyrock have been used in the past by humans to call forth lightning against their enemies. Israfel's Skyrock Essence is a plasmatic, usually invisible field of Skyrock which surrounds him at all times.

Dream Rune:The Dream Rune is the binding item Israfel gives to Wren. It is the same shape which covers his chest: a red crescent moon with its opening facing down, a red circle within the opening of the moon, and a short line under the circle, shaped somewhat like the hour hand of a clock. This icon is given to Wren on a necklace.

Cloud Fury

"Avatar Crash"
Israfel takes on a form identical to Wren. Leaping at an enemy, he forms a spear out of Skyrock and impales them with it. As he retreats, he reverts to his bird form and flaps his wings quickly, generating electricity about himself that is then focused and fired in one big lightning bolt. The bolt is conducted by the spear and results in the enemy being zapped from the inside out.

Elemental Focus: "Thunder”:
Israfel, as does any Aeon, bestows upon Wren, his chosen element, that element being Thunder. The spells advance as follows: Thunder, Thundara, Thundaga.
