Brother I Miss You

Is it me, or have I deceived myself?

I thought I heard you call my name, out in the pouring rain.

I really thought, I thought I saw your face.

But after a second look I saw I made a clear mistake.

Brother I Miss You

And nights I just wish you were here with me

So we can laugh and talk again.

 Brother I miss you

But I'll just kiss you and send it on the wind

'cause you know I plan to see you again.

 So much I wanted to show you.

So much I wanted to give.

I thought our time would be much longer.

Missing You My Best Friend

My brother passed away on February 8th 1999 in his sleep. He was my best friend and I will miss him with all my heart.

This poem was written for me by Harrell Suiter who was inspired by my page. Thank you Harrell it is a beautiful poem.

I'll be your cloud up in the sky

I'll be your shoulder when you cry

I'll hear your voices when you call me

I am your Angel

They say memories are golden, well maybe that is true,

We never wanted memories, We only wanted you.

A million times we needed you, a million times we cried.

If love alone could have saved you, You never would have died.

In life we loved you dearly, In death we love you still,

In our hearts you hold a place no one else could ever fill.

If love could build a stairway and heartache build a lane,

We'd walk the path to heaven and bring you back again.

Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same.

But as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.

We thought of you with love today, But that is nothing new. We thought about you yesterday, And days before that too. We think of you in silence, We often speak your name; All we have now are memories, And your picture in a frame. Your memory is our keepsake, With which we will never part; God has you in his keep, We have you in our heart. It broke our heart to lose you. But you didn't go alone, For a part of us went with you...

The day God took you home.

To Those I Love

When I am gone, release me, Let me go.

I have so many things to see and do.

You mustn't tie yourself to me with tears.

Be happy that we had so many beautiful years.

 I gave to you my love. You can only guess

How much you gave to me in happiness.

I thank you for the love you each have shown,

But now it's time I traveled on alone.

 So grieve a while for me, if grieve you must,

Than let your grief be comforted by trust.

It's only for a while that we must part,

So bless the memories within your heart.

I won't be far away, for life goes on.

So if you need me, call and I will come.

Though you can't see or touch me, I'll be near.

And if you listen with your heart, you'll hear

All my love around you soft and clear.

And then, when you must come this way alone,

I'll greet you with a smile, and say---

"Welcome Home."

Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free

I'm following the path God laid for me.

I took His hand when I heard him call;

I turned my back and left it all.

I could not stay another day,

To laugh, to love, to work or play.

Tasks left undone must stay that way;

I found that place at the close of day.

If my parting has left a void,

Then fill it with remembered joy.

A friendship shared a laugh, a kiss;

Ah yes, these things, I too will miss.

Be not burdened with times of sorrow

I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.

My life's been full, I savored much;

Good friends, good times, a loved ones touch.

Perhaps my time seems all too brief;

Don't lengthen it now with undue grief.

Lift up your heart and share with me,

God wanted me now, He set me free.
