Everywhere I look upon the net
There's fancy poems that I can
get.
All will speak of a love so
great
For a friend or that chosen
mate.
I searched and looked
everywhere,
Checking each valentine with
care.
Not one of them conveyed my
thought,
As one for a family is what I
sought.
So, I sat down at my keyboard today
To see if I could find the
words to say,
How much I really and truly
love you
For all the sweet things you
say and do.
This special friendship you
give to me
Has filled my heart with love
you see.
You take all of those dreary
days,
Filling them with joy in so
many ways.
So on this day when love is in
the air.
And valentines are sent from
everywhere,
I had to find a way to say how
much I care,
And appreciate this love you
let me share.
You are a grandson so very
dear.
My life would be empty without
you near.
Friendship IS a gift tied with
a ribbon of love,
A blessing direct from God in
Heaven above.
