Do the questions/comparisons get annoying (if yes ignore question 2)

- It's not really annoying but we do get the same questions about
Sum41all the time. We know it's gonna happen so we just give a short
answer and move on to the next question.
Growing up in Ajax did you ever play with Sum, or see them or have
them seeyou? If so was there a supportive relationship?
- Yep...We're all cool with each other and we helped each other out
at shows a long time ago.
CANDIAN questions….
At the casby's the History of rock was discussed and 'this time we're
bringing it!' How has the emergence of Canadian artists impacted you?
Has it made it easier (more labels taking on cnd artists) or harder (more
harsh comparisons)?
- I think that because there are more canadian bands in the spotlight
right now it is definitely a bonus for every musician in Canada.
And it's cool that Canadians are starting to like music that comes from their
own country.
Do you feel that Canadian shows are more energetic then those in other
countries, due to the pride in a talented Canadian band?
- N/A
Is there a difference in shows inside Canada? Are the shows closer to
home (southern Ontario) more enthusiastic than those farther away such as
in the maritimes?
- Most shows are pretty much the same if you compare the same size
shows. I think people who know us can be a little more enthusiastic during our
set but when we play to poeple that aren't sure who we are they are still
cool enuff to rock out and then come talk to us after the show.

How did you come up with the name, Not by Choice?
- We just thought it was cool...There's no real reason.
Can you tell us what the new single will be, and when will it and the
video be out?
- We are going to be shooting the video for "Now That You Are
Leaving" stating tomorrow. It should be out in mid January.
What CD is in each of your cd players right NOW! What is your top ten
fave Cd's of all time? (you can not say your own!)
- Righ now I have the new Sum 41 record in my CD player. I can't
name my top 10 cd's cause I would forget one....I like a lot of stuff.
What is your fave song of all time?
- I don't have one...I have many.
What bands did you listen to growing up? How have they impacted the
musical style you now have?
- Oh yeah. I listened to a lot of hard rock when I was a kid. I
liked Bon Jovi and Guns n' Roses. But I also like rappers like Easy E and LL
Cool J. When I'm writing guitar parts I try to incorporate influences with
the feel of the particular song we're working on.
Touring with bands like Simple Plan and The Sums :P who have a more
established fan base, do you feel that you gain more fans from these
shows? If so do you like this following or would you rather search for your
own?
- We love opening for bigger bands than us. It's a chance for us to
get some new fans and have fun at the same time. We don't care who our
fan base ends up being cause we play music for everyone to listen to.

How do you feel about your fans? Are they 'rrreally supportive' (:P)
or not so much? Cough US cough cough!
- Our fans are usually pretty good. We have a lot of fun with them
at shows and we're really lucky that people actually like us! Fans in
the USA are cool too...They just haven't been able to see us live yet.
Are there any crazy things that fans have done for you? Any weird
experiences?
- No one has been really crazy...yet. We get presents from fans
sometimes and that's really cool...We love that!
What kinds of things do you fans give you? What is the weirdest? Do
you keep the gifts?
- We get all kinds of stuff and we keep everything. I dont think
it's the weirdest but we got movie passes once. That was awesome!
You are obviously dedicated to your fans, spending hours after the
show talking to them, what makes you do this when you could just as easily
sit in a comfy chair with 'some hot blonde'? (ASB!!!) hehehe, funny, you
wont understand but its great!
- Well...We all like hot blondes but since we don't have any we like
to hang out with the fans who appreciate us coming out to talk to them.
We appreciate them showing up to the shows so we return the favour.

- No cats...I like cats though...I have a dog.
