First of all this is my opinon and I AM NOT ANTI-AMERICAN!!!!!!!!!(Some of my favourite bands are american). Anyways I just wanna say how annoying it is that when Canadian Bands get bigger in the states they all of a sudden turn AMERICAN, when I say they turn american I mean they never come back and play shows in Canada, sometimes they don't even go to Toronto for several tours. One band that is HOPEFULLY never going to apply to is Simple Plan. Yes they are getting known in the states and yet they still come to Canada all the time. Even for a Toronto Radio station awards show, even though they were in San Fransico the night before, and flew to Toronto played the show and then flew back to Seattle THAT NIGHT, for a show the next day, this shows true commitment and patirotism!!! Well, Don't get me wrong I am happy when Canadian bands make it big in the States cause we really don't have that many bands compared to the states. Oh yeah and one more thing, according to one band who will remain nameless, there are only 12 cities you can play in ALL of Canada. I found this very amusing. It seems to show a crazy amount of ignorance, since most people know that there are WAY more than that, and people all over would be incredibly pleased if they played closer to home. That also bugged me. Well Thats my opinon anyways, take it or leave it. |
