I came out of the woods onto Ar.27 (pictured earlier). North and down I would go. Steeply, to again cross the river and then up,  twisting and turning in a great mountain ride to the outskirts of Danville. There I took 10 west to Havana.  Yea, really. Havana is an old agricultural town. Below is the Havana Bank. (R.I.P.)  Havana is not that far from Paris if you are in AR. Go there just for the bragging rights. Back to the ride. Take 309 north. Look from side to side as you exit town. There's some stuff here. A little wierd, but stuff.
I saw a break in the trees and decided it was time for a shot.
Thanks for assuring me that I wasn't on a "Ugly Byway".
A typical corner on upper 309.... 45 was reasonable.
Now this is new. It is going to be a big tourist draw. That weekend the butterfly convention was coming to the mountain. So, I suggest camping elsewhere. Just go up there and enjoy the cool temperatures and the views.
I returned to camp, worn out. I don't think it was all physical. Scenic overload, maybe.
The next day, I would set out again. Care to join me. Hit next and we'll make our way over to Petit Jean St. Park, the reigning queen of the system. I think she will be challenged by Magazine when they finish it. There was big constuction going on at the  edge of the cliff. I smell hotel. Betcha.
