Why Eternia and Slayers are Connected Through Some Sort of Interdimensional Wormhole
Now, I know what you're thinking. RR's spent one too many nights doing physics homework until one in the morning and has given up her ever-so-tenuous grip on sanity. But I am here to tell you that I have undeniable PROOF! PROOF, I tell you! For, might I ask, how else could Keele - Tales of Eternia Craymel Mage - and Xelloss - Slayers Monster and all-around prankster - be related?
You heard me. And I have proof for that, too. Observe:
sleeeeepy....
Keele  ----->
Burn Baby Burn!!! MWA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!
<------  Xelloss
The resemblance is uncanny, is it not? Sure, Xelloss's hair is full-blown purple while Keele's is more purple-bluish, but even twins often have such minor differences. They're both tall and handsome...*starry eyes* ahem. Anyway. Keele wears his hair longer, according to the fashions of his world, while Xelloss keeps it shoulder-length. They both wear lots of clothing and never ever take it off. *tears of frustration*

Now before I get a million emails correcting me on this, YES, I know Xelloss is a monster and not actually human. But there are two conflicting theories floating around out there about how this happened:
1) Beastmaster created him to be her General/High Priest, and he's always been monster;
2) Over a thousand years ago he was just your average magical prankster-sorceror with a funky sense of humor. Beastmaster liked him and invited him to join the ranks of the  immortal semi-evil. Xelloss said, "Cool! Okay!" (I mean, who wouldn't?)

If #2 is in fact the case, then my theory makes perfect sense. Xelloss and Keele were born twins, and L-sama and Seyfert, in a bit of ineffable godly wisdom, decided that while one world could take two super-powerful sorceresses like Lina and Luna, two creatures such as Xelloss was more than any reality should be forced to handle. So they did a bit of celestial switcheroo and transported the infant Keele to Eternia, where his services would be more useful to their unknowable purposes. (Maybe he was an anniversary present - "Honey, I made us a couple of sorcerors - you take one, and I'll take the other, and we can use them to remember each other by..." How romantic...)

Interestingly enough, the two have developed into near opposites, personality-wise; whereas Xelloss found no outlet for his vast intellect but spell mastery and malicious pranks, Keele was raised in a world which sheltered and encouraged his sensitive nature and scholarly inclinations. He grew up merely overbearing and anal-retentive instead of aggressively malicious. Paradoxically, he's much more serious than his evil twin;  I guess with great power comes great ability to treat the whole universe as your plaything. Another thing about Keele: he's rather unique in Eternia - he doesn't really fit in. He's too smart, too stubborn, as if he knows that somewhere, somehow, someone just like him is getting everything he wants. |^_^|

Something else spooky: Ishida Akira, that talented seiyuu, does both Xelloss, possible sibling of Keele, and Reid Herschel, FRIEND of Keele. *wiggles fingers mysteriously* OooooooooOOOOOooooooo...

Last, and probably least, bit of evidence: these guys are my two favorite bishies in the whole animeverse...and personally, I think I have GREAT taste! |^_^|;;

So there you have it. Keele and Xelloss are brothers, opposites who look the same, dancing out their eternal yin/yang of existence in two rather similar universes, neither of which are MY universe. *sniff* WAAAAAAAHHH!!! =...(
