About us

                      Welcome to "The Player"

"The Player" started in 1992 as an inter-office weekly newsletter
in CA. By the winter of 1995 it had changed format and moved to
CO. printed bi-weekly for public distribution. Now in 2002 it is
being aired on the Internet from the Pacific Northwest with a
                      couple of important changes.

First, we no longer publish specific results and prize awards but
we provide links so interested parties can locate this info themselves.
The reason being, it's just too much work to do for over 50 different
games, as this is a free service. We originally addressed only one State.

Secondly, the hot picks of the week section has been eliminated for
the same reasons as above. Too many games to analyze and the info
for one game is different than any other. However the methods for
                      analysis are the same.

So we are now focusing on publishing methods rather than results.
Readers can use the methods given by keeping a running list of the
past results for the game they are playing. This saves a massive
amount of time trouble and web space.

Side note: While we were publishing Hot picks, our percentage of
correct selections was higher than many paid publications and were
arrived at by using only the last game results as a data set and a
pocket calculator with a square root function to extrapolate the next
winning numbers. Hence we have zero tolerance for software promotion.
If you like and want to use Lotto software, that's your business, not ours.

We are also not "a voice crying out in the wilderness" nor the "Fool on
the hill." Revelations concerning number selection are dependent on
                      traffic.
