| An interesting clipping from the past |
| Research indicates that our Hamiltons migrated to Jackson County, FL from Marion District, SC, around 1850. Those that made the trip are Evan, Zachariah, Levi, Archibald, and Mary. Evan appears to have been the oldest of the group, with possibly Levi the next in age. Zachariah, Archibald, and Mary were children at the time. Research further indicates that Zachariah was the son of Henry and Polley Hamilton of SC. Henry and Polley apparently did not arrive in FL as there is no record of them there. Research is ongoing with regard to who Levi's parents were. If anyone viewing this page has information concerning any of the Hamilton family from this group please contact me at the email listed below. |
