1989 Chevy High top conversion van.

The van is in good condition and has a 350 engine (5.7 liter), electronic fuel injection, 700R4 four speed overdrive automatic transmission, PS, PB, PW, PDL, cold dual AC, tilt wheel, cruise control, intermittent wipers, stereo cassette, dark blue, blue & gray interior.

Inside are four captain chairs, electric sofa bed (opens / closes at push of a button - no lifting), color TV, CB, reading lights, game table, cup holders, storage compartments, mood lighting, and luggage area lighting.

On the outside are running boards, rally wheels, hard shell spare tire cover, ladder, and roof rack.

Everything works, runs great, AC just serviced for summer. Ready for family vacation.

(Mag wheels shown in pictures are not included, standard Chevy rally wheels are.)

The electronic fuel injection and overdrive transmission actually give this van decent gas mileage for the size.  I have been getting between 14 mpg and 17 mpg, depending on conditions.

Chevrolet has built the 350 engine longer than any other, starting in 1968.  As such, its dependability is great and the abundance of parts and places for service if anything ever goes wrong is unmatched by any vehicle.

The two reasons for selling are that we no longer need this vehicle to haul the family around on trips and we need a pickup truck.  So to get that, this must go.

Condition:

The 700R4 transmission was rebuilt professionally in 1998 and is in great condition.

The radiator was replaced in 1999 due to a leak, not overheating.

The alternator was replaced this year, but I can't find the receipt.

Front end was rebuilt in 1999.  The rear axle bearings were replaced in 1999.

There is NO rust.  This is a Florida van that has been in the interior, not the coast.  Vehicles from Florida along the coast rust from the salt air but those in the center of the state do not.

The trip odometer is inaccurate compared to the regular odometer.

There is a small dent behind the left rear marker light.  The previous owner said it happen backing into his carport.  It is hardly noticeable.

Drivers seat has some spots where the fabric is beginning to tear with age.  It is not like some of those "minor tears" you see in auctions and half of the seat is missing.  These could be overlooked by the casual observer due to the folds in the design.

Carpet is showing wear from foot travel between the front seats.  It isn't worn out, but it doesn't look new-car new.  It is 13 years old.

The fiberglass top has the paint dull.  This seems to be common with the high top conversion vans as I have noticed many that have the dull paint on top.

There is also some paint peeling on the hood. The paint on the spare tire carrier is peeling in spots.

There are no curtains on the rear side bay windows.  These were missing when I got it.  However, we have not found a need to have them down.

Terms:

This van is sold as-is, where-is.  While I have tried to tell all that is wrong and will answer any questions you have, it is still a used vehicle and as such is not in perfect condition.  It is not a new vehicle.

Mileage is believed to be fairly accurate, however, I am not the original owner and do not know what may have occurred during previous ownership.  The State of Florida records mileage on the titles at transfer and that mileage matched with the mileage on the odometer and the general condition.

State taxes, license fees, and insurance are the responsibility of the buyer and should be paid prior to pick up.

This is our personal van and we are not a business, so this is not a used car salesman trick or a warehouse dealer-license front.  We also cannot provide temporary tags, insurance, or anything else that a dealer does.

I do not know anything about shipping this overseas or to another country. If you wish to do this, please have all your paperwork in order BEFORE arrival.

Due to problems in the past, we cannot accept bidders with excessive negative feedback or with zero feedback.  You must contact us before bidding.  You must contact us with your name, address, and active telephone number to verify your true identity before bidding.

Do not bid unless you are serious about buying.  You are bidding to buy, however, if you arrive and the van is vastly different from my description, I will refund your money less eBay fees.  As you can see from our feedback, we do our best to have a completely honest and fair transaction.

The winning bidder must contact us within 24 hours of the end of the auction.

A deposit of 10% of the winning bid must be received within 3 days.

The balance must be received within 7 days of the end of the auction.

Payment must be by money order.  The winning bidder is responsible for pick up or shipping of the van and all costs involved in shipping.
