		In 1754 this war began with an event at Fort Necessity. The war was fought between the French and English. The war lasted for 7 years before the English won. Parliment later wanted the English colonists to pay taxes to help pay for the war. The colonists were strongly opposed, and felt they had already paid for the war by fighting to win. 			This 1765 act was imposed on the English colonists in North America to tax all paper items, includeing legal documents, maps, brochures, and playing cards. The British Parliment imposed this act to help pay for the costs of the French and Indian War. This act caused anger among the colonists and lead to acts of violence against tax collectors. 	This 1767 act was put into effect by the British Parliment to tax colonists for imported goods. Taxed goods included paper, paint, lead, glass, and tea. This act angered the colonists because they felt "taxation without representation" was wrong. They belived that the people, not Kings, should make laws for the colony. Can you name this act? 			In 1773 angry colonists boarded an Engish ship and threw chests of tea overboard in his act of rebellin against the newly imposed Townshend Act. This act was put into effect by the Britsh Parliment to tax a variety of items incuding tea.
