It's about Saving Lives!

Summer 2005
- Meanie Jr. - Meanie Jr is a baby snapping turtle, about the size of a quarter, that was found at the Dake home. The kittens were playing with him like he was a little toy ... so we decided to rescue him from the wrath of the kittens and take him into our home!
Fall 2004
Henry - Micky's Dad discovered Henry wandering down by the railroad in Chicago, Illinois. Henry came to live with us now!
Summer 2004
- Sonny - Sonny was found by Justin's Mom in her front yard, just wondering around. Sonny has come to live with us now!
- Bob - on HWY 1, just north of Iowa City we saw
  a 5-inch painted turtle attempting to cross the road...
  We picked him up, and he hitched a ride in our car
  to the Iowa River, where we placed him safely on the river bed.
- Meanie - my cousin found Meanie, an 8-inch snapping turtle, in the median
  on Peters Avenue in the city of Fond du Lac, definitely lost
  my cousin kept him in his bathtub until we came by
  and took him out to my parent's pond on HWY B in Eden Wisconsin.
- Meanie II - I came across Meanie II, an 8-inch snapper, on HWY 44 between Ripon and Oshkosh
  attempting to cross the road from field to field.
  I guided him safely across the road and to a very large puddle in the middle of the next field.
