My original slider was looking pretty slim after my Central American trip, with deep wear grooves in it. Your chain's health depends on this thin piece of rubber. Formtech make a range of sliders for many dirt machines, the KLR included, from a poly compound which has much better wear qualities than the original rubber. If you're on a long journey or just replacing the worn stocker, its a cheap and worthy investment. |
