KENTUCKY FIREWORKS
APRIL 2003
The following pictures are from when Greg and I went to Kentucky April 11 for Thunder Over Louisville. Let me tell you....it was AWESOME. I have never seen so many fireworks at one show in my life. Greg and I had a blast. We labled our trip as our mini honeymoon. I want to thank my Mom and Dad for covering our expenses. We stayed on a private floor in the Holiday Inn Downtown. Greg and I are already planning our trip there for next year.

For those of you that dont know, Thunder Over Louisville is part of the kick off for the Kentucky Derby. This year was its 14 year and was one of its largest shows with over 50,000 shells. What started as a better-than-average fireworks display with 3000 shells at a local stadium has become the pinnacle of pyrotechnics. It is the nation's largest annual fireworks event. It also is one of the top five air shows in the country.

Over 600,000 people attended Thunder Over Louisville............Water Rescue that got everyone close to the shoreline soaked

As the sun began to set you could feel the excitement build...................................And then finally they began

Hundreds of mines were shot off The 2nd Street Bridge.............As the finale begins hundreds of shells were in the air
