Season 1

Scully: "Agent Mulder. I'm Dana Scully, I've been assigned to work with you."
Mulder: "Oh, isn't it nice to be suddenly so highly regarded? So, who did you tick off to get stuck with this detail, Scully?"
Scully: "Actually, I'm looking forward to working with you. I've heard a lot about you."
Mulder: "Oh, really? I was under the impression... that you were sent to spy on me."
Scully: "If you have any doubt about my qualifications or credentials, th..."
Mulder: "You're a medical doctor, you teach at the academy. You did your undergraduate degree in physics. 'Einstein's Twin Paradox: A New Interpretation. Dana Scully Senior Thesis.' Now that's a credential, rewriting Einstein."
Scully: "Did you bother to read it?"
Mulder: "I did! I liked it. It's just that in most of my work, the laws of physics rarely seem to apply."

Mulder: No, you'd be in trouble just sitting in this car. And I'd hate to see you carry an official reprimand in your career file because of me.
Scully: Fox...
Mulder: I... I even made my parents call me Mulder... Mulder.
Scully: Mulder, I wouldn't put myself on the line for anybody but you.
Mulder: If there's iced tea in that bag, could be love.
Scully: Must be fate, Mulder... root beer. You're delirious. Go home and get some sleep.

Mulder: "Can I buy you a drink?"
Scully: "It's two-o-clock in the afternoon, Agent Mulder."
Mulder: "It's not stopping the rest of these people."

Mulder: "Who was that on the phone?"
Scully: "A guy."
Mulder: "A guy. Same guy as the guy you had dinner with the other night?"
Scully: "Same guy."
Mulder: "You gonna have dinner with him again?"
Scully: "I don't think so."
Mulder: "No interest?"
Scully: "Not at this time."
Mulder: "Thanks, Fran. What are you doing?"
Scully: "I'm going with you to the Smithsonian."
Mulder: "Don't you have a life, Scully?"
Scully: "Keep that up, Mulder, and I'll hurt you like that beast-woman."
Mulder: "Eight million years out of Africa."
Scully: "Look who's holding the door."

Mulder: "You give me one worm, you’ll infect me."
Scully: "If that’s true, then why didn’t you let us inspect you?"
Mulder: "I would have but you pulled a gun on me. Now I don’t trust them. I want to trust you."
Scully: "Okay. But now they’re not here."

Season 2

Mulder: "Now what happened after you took her out of the trunk?"
Duane Barry: "We walked a-little ways up to the top of the mountain. Right where you found me."
Mulder: "Then where'd you take her?"
Duane Barry: "I didn't. They did. That was the deal. Her instead of me."
Mulder: "Did you kill her?"
Duane Barry: "No."

Mulder:" I feel, Scully, that ... you believe... you are not ready to go. And you’ve always had the strength of your beliefs. i don't know if my being here...will help bring you back. But i am here."

Scully: "How did you get this?"
Skinner: "Unofficial channels."

Season 3

Mulder: "Lots of files."
Scully: "Lots and lots of files."

Mulder: "Will you let me drive?"
Scully: "I'm driving. Why do you always have to drive? Because you're the guy? Because you're the big, macho man?"
Mulder: "No, I was just never sure your little feet could reach the pedals."

Mulder: "I think you drooled on me."
Scully: "Sorry."

Mulder: "No, I'm not being flippant, I mean, I've given this a lot of thought. If you have a peg leg or hooks for hands, you know, maybe it's enough to simply carry on living. You know, bravely facing life with your disability, it's heroic just to survive. But without these things you're actually expected to make something of your life, achieve something, earn a raise, wear a necktie. So if anything, I'm actually the antithesis of Ahab, because if I did have a peg leg, I'd quite possibly be more happy and more content to chase after these creatures of the unknown."
Scully: "And that's not flippant?"
Mulder: "No, flippant is my favourite line from Moby Dick. 'Hell is an idea first born on an undigested apple dumpling'."

Season 4

Scully: For the first time, I feel time like a heartbeat. The seconds, pumping in the breast in a reckoning. The numinous mystries that once seeemed so distant and unreal, threatening clarity in the presence of a truth entertained not in youth, but only in its passage. I feel these words as if thier meaning were weight being lifted from me, knowing that you will read them, and share my burden, as I have come to trust no other. That you should know my heart, look into it, finding there the memory and experience that belong to you, that are you, is a comfort to me now, as I feel the thethers loose, and the prospects darken for the continuance of a journey that began not so long ago, and which began again with a faith shakened and strengthened by your convictions. If not for which, I might never have been so strong now. As I cross to face you, and look at you, incomplete, hoping that you will forgive me, for not making the rest of the journey with you...

Scully: In med school, I learnt that cancer arrives in the body unannounced. A dark stranger who takes up residence, turning its new home against itself. This is the evil of cancer, that is starts as an invader, but soon becomes one with the invaded, forcing you to destroy it, but only at the risk of destroying yourself.
It is science's demon possession, my treatment, science has attempted exorcism. Mulder, I hope that in these terms you might know it and know me, and accept this stranger that so many recognize but cannot ever completely cast out. And if the darkness should have swallowed me as you read this, you must never think there was the possibility of some secret intervention, something you might have done. Though we have traveled far together, this last distance must necessarily be traveled alone...

Scully: I have not written to you in the last 24 hours because the treatment has weakened my spirit as well as my body. Mulder, it's difficult to describe to you the fear of facing an enemy which I can neither conquer nor escape. Penny Northern has taken a downturn. I now look at her with a respect that can only come from one who was about to walk the same dark path. Seeing her I can't help but see myself in a month or a year, I pray that I have her courage to face this journey. Mulder, I feel you close, though I know you are now pursuing your own path, for that, I am grateful, more than I could ever express, I need to know you are out there if I am ever to see through this...

Mulder: "The truth will save you Scully. I think it will save both of us."

Mulder: "You can believe what you want to believe Scully. But you can't hide the truth from me, 'cause if you do then you're working against me ... and yourself."
