Our Nearby Playground
On May 30 (Memorial Day), 2000, I drove through Sequoia National Park and stopped to do some climbing (about four miles). I came home unable to walk for 15 hours.
The Park Entrance
Some good views near the entrance.
Sorry, no high profile recreation vehicles in the park. I hate getting stuck behind them.
Some more killer views.
This is Lodgepole. The snow is measured at the rear of the building where it drifts.
Now for the journey to the falls.
Some of these trees in the background are over 10000 years old.
At last I found it.
A raccoon hiding in the rocks. This one found a mate, and they were making out ten minutes later just like they do on the Discovery channel. When I took a shot of it I ran out of disk space. My hardcore page is still on hold.
Some views of the falls and the surrounding areas.
