Deb's Remodeling Page
Anyone who knows me knows that I am a crazed fool when it comes to
decorating. I just love it! I also love to remodel and redo almost anything,
whether it needs it or not.(sigh) So I have decided to share a few of
my projects with you. Unfortunately, I rarely take before and after pics
of anything I do. But I did happen to do so on a few things, so I
am sharing them with you here. Hope ya like the outcome. Let me know!
The Blair Bathroom Project
Ok, this is a little scarrier than the movie, but hold on to someone
you love and you'll survive...I promise!
Dont say I didnt warn ya! hehe
Ok, this is a before pic of what they called the laundry room. Problem is
it was adjacent to the downstairs entry bath(powder room). I hated it.
I coaxed my sweetie to put the laundry room in the garage ( where no one
can see how much laundry I have piled up!) He did so, but ran the lines back
thru to the house, at the same original location, creating this lovely sight!!
Yet another lovely view of the "project"
Something had to be done, you guessed it, it was time to bring in
Deb "the tool chic" taylor ( so to speak )
I decided to build a wall to hide the "junky stuff", yet created an access hidden
door so that the pipes and lines could be checked if needed.Heres a pic of
the wall, and the space the hidden door would go.
Almost there! A pic of the wall finished, including door, yet still need to
make an enclosure for the top, where I can sit dumb stuff....like fake plants!
Walla!!!! I tiled the plywood walls, added some ivy, and also added tile to the
cabinets above ( still want to wash those white cabinet areas with a dark color tho, too
white!) I wallpapered and tried to create a Greecian feel to it. You like?
Heres another shot. Sorry I'm a sucky photographer, if its not people
Last pic I took, at a bad angle, but what the heck. I have since replaced the
floral arrangement with a Greecian Vase.
On to project number two.....
Did I mention, we just bought this house..... Anyway,
some idiot painted the brick fireplace WHITE...
Wellllllll, that just wont do, what can the Debster do?
Oh yeah... I can paint it back! So I tried. I used five different colors to
try to capture the look of real brick( which it was, ONCE) And then I
added rough tile around the opening to make it more rustic. I just
hate sissy brick...dont you? hehe
Well I figured since I showed you my bath-foyer remodeling, I might as
well show you the bath that goes with it. I didnt take before pics,
but it was a basic white room, with ceiling to sink plate mirror.
I love romance....did I forget to mention that?
Heres the vanity area
Gotta accessorize baby!
Very warm and cozy... everyone says its their favorite room,
and well..it should be!( I plan to add a footed tub, no tub
exists as of yet..thus the name Powder Room)
Just had to share my wierd taste....try not to scream.
Thank you for sharing my remodeling moments. Check again soon for
other stuff!
