Every time I close my eyes

visions of you in my mind,

thinking back on memories torn

ripped from pages of our lives.

Grasping firm to bring to life

fantasies, tho never there

while the pieces fell to earth

as my heart began to tear.

You shall never grace my life,

tho I've prayed a thousand times,

were you a reality?

Maybe just inside my mind.

How can feelings born so strong

wither down to fading air,

tho, beg i do to comprehend,

fail i do to understand.

Reaching for you in the nite

touching only empty dreams

piercing pain disquised with lies

echoing like silent screams.

Maybe if I won your love

I could say what you can not,

but a heart thats filled with tears

can't deny what can't be bought.

Listen to the ocean sounds

breathing lessons for us all

thrashing hard,then dying down,

dare we love? lest we should fall?
