| Leonard Milholland talks about his "Better Half VW" aviation conversion VW engine in his engine seminar at Oshkosh, (AirVenture 2003) Leonard also shared the floor with Steve Keblinger and Scott Castler. Steve has completed a Legal Eagle Ultralight powered by the Better Half VW. His current project is an experimental turbo charged Better Half VW. He brought the engine and explained the research that has been done thus far. It was not a running engine yet, but there was a great deal of interest. Scott is an engine builder with a great deal of 1/2 VW experience. He has been buliding the Hummel cut case 1/2 VW, but is now also building Leonard's Better Half VW, full case engine. For those building a Legal Eagle, Soctt brings us the opportunity to just buy an engine that is ready to bolt on rather than building it our selves. Not all of us are engine savy! |
