   grand-daughter was John Hammond, Srs mother.
  
John Hammond, Jr.-Writer, Promoter, Musician, Manager, Record Producer.
   Discovered and promoted the likes of Benny Goodman, Count Basie, Billie Holiday,
   Stevie Ray Vaughn, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen and Aretha Franklin.
   One of the most significant figures in all of Jazz history. Helped shape the sound of American music.
  
Benny Goodman "The King of Swing"-Musician. Married Alice Hammond,
   sister of John Hammond, Jr.
  
Kitty Wells "The Queen of Country "-Singer, Musician, Songwriter.
   Best known for her #1 Billboard hit "It Wasn't God Who Made Honky Tonk Angels"

Charley "Chuck" Hammonds-Musician, Songwriter. Guitar/Hawiian Steal player, who

Leonard Hammonds-Musician, Singer, Songwriter. Performed solos & duets with
   John Denver during their high school years. Had a #1 Billboard hit "Lightening Striking" with Charles     Christy & the Crystals about '61 and hit #1 again on the Billboard charts "D.O.A." with the group    
   BLOODROCK in the early 70's. Was a member of a number of early folk/rock bands including The 
   Nomads who were among the first groups to open up for The Beatles first US tour '64.
   Was a member of the group The First Wave, who was the first to start the hippy movement at Trinity  
   Park in Fort Worth, Texas, with the backing of the hit "Hello Vietnam" about '62. Performed at  
   Woodstock '69 as  a solo act.
