Admire a tall horse but saddle a short one.
Don’t approach a horse from the rear, a bull from the front or a fool from any direction.
Even if it takes more than one throw to land a steer and tie him, he’s still roped and tied.
It's easier to ride a horse in the direction he is going.
Never ask a man where he's from. If he's from Texas he'll tell you and if he's not you don't want to embarrass him.
