Grace is now 19 months old and changing every day!  She is talking up a storm, trying several new words each day.  I estimate that she weighs around 27 pounds and still seems tall for her age.  Lately, she has enjoyed playing with her Little People sets, plastic animals, dolls, and play kitchen.  She had an exciting Christmas.  Although after she saw her play kitchen, she wasn't too interested in opening other gifts!  Grace has become quite a picky eater...sometimes it's hard to imagine she can survive on the food that we manage to get her to try.  Besides carbs, fruit, and yogurt, she's not interested in much else.  After a long phase of refusing to put anything on her head, Grace now likes to wear sunglasses and hats.  She is pretty interested in her new little brother now, after an initial period of ambivilance.

Jack is now 8 weeks old and still such a sweet baby.  I'm not sure of his weight, but will find out when he goes to the doctor on the 15th.  He's starting to look more roly-poly, and his umbilical cord FINALLY came off at age 5 weeks.  He smiles every now and then, especially when he is on his changing table.  Jack loves his swing and bouncy chair and generally naps there during the day.  He is still suffering with lots of gas, especially in the evenings.  But we have come to the amazing conclusion that, despite all the crying, he really just wants his crib around 7:30 or 8:00 pm.  Within about 5 to 10 minutes, he is conked out and will sleep til around 1 am.  From that time on, he's still on a 3 hour feeding schedule.  He is primarily nursing, with a bottle of formula every few days.
