| Grace is now 20 months old and becoming such a big girl! She still loves playing with her animals and her kitchen and really enjoys looking at all kinds of books. I think she is so happy to be back in a routine of seeing her playmates, going to the library, reading a bedtime story, etc. Having a new baby in the family definitely threw us all for a loop. Right now she loves watching a PBS show called Zoboomafoo, which features lots of animals and a friendly lemur. She is trying to say just about everything. I read somewhere that kids this age learn a new word every 90 minutes. Better be careful what we say around her! Jack is now 11 weeks old. He was 12 lbs 4 oz and 24 inches long at his 2 month doctor visit. This puts him around the 75th percentile for baby boys. He is growing up so fast...already trying to hold up his head, cooing, smiling, laughing a little, and getting so chubby! He is still nursing about every 3 hours during the day, but stretching it to 4-6 hours at night. He goes to bed around 7 pm and sleeps til around 7 am, waking to nurse but then going right back to sleep (usually!) Right now he loves to listen to me making kissing noises, watch smiling faces, take a bath, and lay under his arch of hanging toys. He is only doing serious diaper business (if you know what I mean) about once a week, but the doctor said this is fine as long as it seems normal. We had portraits of both kids made the first week in January at JCPenney. Click here to see Grace's portraits. Click here to see Jack's portraits. |
