Grace is now 29 months (almost 2 1/2).  She has really developed her own little personality...she is ALL girl and very opinionated.  She is talkative and outgoing with those she knows, and a little hesitant in new situations.  Grace is still a VERY picky eater...thank goodness for peanut butter and jelly.  Sometimes even chicken nuggets are a no-go.  She is getting very tall and lean...losing that toddler look.  Her 3T clothes, which fit so well a few months ago, are now short in the legs and big in the waist.  Grace knows her ABCs, colors and numbers, although getting her to tell you about them is sometimes a trick.  She makes sentences, and her latest quirk is saying "I need..." instead of "I want."  This can make simple requests seem very imperative!  She loves shopping, especially if she can walk around.  I think I must shop too much because she knows the names and locations of my favorite spots ("I need to go to the Supertarget by the big brown library.")  Grace loves  purses, dolls, books, helping Mommy cook, her play kitchen, and Little People.  We recently got a zoo membership, so we have been enjoying that alot.  She has also been going to "Jungle Gym" (a Mommy and me program with climbing equipment.)

Jack
is now 11 months old.  I just can't believe he will be ONE in a few weeks.  He is HUGE now...I think he was around 24 lbs at our last doctor visit and around 30" long.  He weighs almost as much as Grace and is already in 18-24 months size clothes!  For a baby who waited til 7 1/2 months old to even open his mouth for oatmeal, he sure loves to eat table food!  He quickly went through Stage 1 and 2 baby foods.  Sometimes he eats stage 3 foods now, but most of the time he munches on little chunks of table food.  This despite having only 4 tiny teeth that have just come through in the past 2 months.  Jack drinks 18-24 oz of formula each day.  I weaned him at 8 months because I just couldn't keep up with his appetite anymore!  He is crawling and cruising EVERYWHERE now and is very inquisitive.  He doesn't have much interest in "baby" toys anymore...just wants to see what his big sister is playing with.  As you can imagine, this leads to lots of little battles over the big kid toys.  Last weekend, he suddenly learned how to drink from a sippy cup.  These things just seem to happen overnight.
