I AM |
What I anticipated vs. What I discovered There are nine different categories of strengths listed in the survey. Before taking the survey, I had a feeling that my top strengths would place in the Kinesthetic and Interpersonal groups. I am an athlete and love moving and doing things with my hands, and I also find that I have the most fun and am most productive when I am doing things with other people. The results of the survey supported my thoughts on Kinesthetic and Interpersonal strengths, but I also placed highly in Section 8 - Intrapersonal. This told me that though I am likely to enjoy working with others as reflected in the Interpersonal strengths section, I am also productive when working alone. |
My Results Interpersonal Strength - 90 Kinesthetic Strength - 80 Intrapersonal Strength - 70 Verbal Strength - 50 Naturalistic Strength - 40 Musical Strength - 40 Logical Strength - 40 Visual Strength - 40 Existential Strength - 30 |
Hello! My name is Tyler Maland and I am 15 years old and attend school in Brattleboro, Vermont. For my chemistry class, I was instructed to research a bit about my strengths and weaknesses. I took a survey to learn more, and came up with some scores. |
How Will I Learn in Chemistry? Based on my results of the survey, I would think that learning styles that involve work with other people would satisfy my Interpersonal strengths, and doing hands on work would also be advantageous with my high Kinesthetic strength. This seems perfect for labs in chemistry, as I will most likely be working with someone else and doing an experiment, rather than just sitting and watching or listening. If need be, however, I also found high marks in my Intrapersonal strengths, so if given the oppurtunity to work alone, I think I will be efficient in that regard as well. My lowest results in the survey came in the Existential category. This describes someone who often looks at the "big picture" of things. Whenever I think of people with high existential strengths, I imagine a mustached man lounging crosslegged in a chair with a pipe in the side of his mouth, sipping tea and contemplating the meaning of life. This is not me. I am not someone who will immediately relate a lab or assignment to the big pitcture of things; I usually focus on the task at hand and keep things simple. |
