My
Closest Star
Wary
I open; you're a vision to see
Beneath
your warmth my petals are free
Displaying
my beauty you shine all day
Warning
me soon you would go away
Shadows
fill in where once was your light
Faith
comforts me throughout the night
Anxious
I wait to see you arrive
Just
as you promised before me you rise
One
by one my petals grow bold
Each
happy to know your delicate glow
Then
one day the Rose turned blue
She
realized one thing would be true
I
will always love you from afar,
I
wish to be your closest star.
Rose,
dear Rose....
Love
is a matter of the heart,
It
measures not what distance apart
