In 1985 I was a wide eyed college student at Indiana Univesity I had been turned on to the dead just two years prior but was swept away instantly. In Late June we had just got backfrom the ever fun Alpine Valley rested a day in Bloomington ,IN the to Cincy to Riverbend for a terrific show which was to be my last of the tour so I could get back to work. After a little coaxing (very little) I agreed to go to Blossom Music Center in Cuyahoga Falls ,OH for the 6-25 85 show. My best friend Jorge assured me something magical would happen if I went.   We drove all night pulled in to the lot real early caught a few winks. We parked next to a chemist who offered us a morning dose of sunshine which we accepted. We walked up to the ticket office at noon when it opened (when it was easier to get tickets) and asked for a couple of seats the guy
at the booth saidhe could get us pretty low if it was just the two of us,we agreed but didn't grasp what had just happened until it came till showtime. we spent the day playing sack ,making friends and just enjoying or morning dose. When it came time for the show we entered and kept walking lower and lower until we wound up in the 5th row of the pavilion where our seats were. We were laughing hysterically at how good of seats we had when we heard the chemist who parked next to us yell at us from down the row.  The band came out that morning and right on cue opened with Daytripper  which blew us away. I as promised was treated to something magical that day.  I have a boot from that show and to this day I listen to it and remember being in the fifth row grinning from ear to ear .
