believe it or not, I am only 16 years old and have been to 10 dead shows.  I saw the dead every spring in atlanta from the time i was 1 until the time i was 10 (1984-1994).  Sine then, i have turned into quite a hippie myself; my dad thinks it is pretty hilarious to watch me leave the house for a concert. And the hippie kids I meet places are truly amazed to find out that i got to see the dead.  Of course, I didn't see the shows the same way as many people did -through clouded eyes.  I saw the show from a child's perspective, half the size of the adult's.  I saw the pretty ladies with dirty feet spinning around and around  ("daddy, don't they get dizzy?")  I saw the hundreds of people milling around outside, trying to get in ("daddy, why don't they just buy a ticket like we did?"), and I fell asleep in my chair at the Omni in '93.  I smelled the smells, heard the music, saw the sights, and I am one of few in my generation who can truly say they are deadheads.  THANK YOU DADDY!!
you're the best. . .  peace. . . your spirit and your little rainbow, tricia
