Plan 8.5 From Outer Space The Ed Wood film "Plan 9 From Outer Space" is known best as the "worst movie of all time." The 1959 film is comical in its numerous flaws, and has for years been one of my favorites. In a strip which took place in Jimmy's bedroom, I added a framed poster on the wall of "Plan 8.5 From Outer Space," a homage to the original Plan 9 poster, which is actually an interesting piece of graphic design. |

Atari 2600 The
Atari will always be one of my favorite early childhood toys, and I commemorated
those hours in front of the TV with an appearance in the first Tyler &
Fred to be published in the Tartan. The Chickens come over to play some
Empire Strikes Back. The image on the screen is actually from the game.

1939 World's Fair The
1939 World's Fair in New York was a truly monumental event, which I commemorated
in a statuette made by Frita. I often think about what it must have been
like to stand under the magnificent Trylon and Perisphere, the theme of
the Fair. Now, thanks to Frita, the rodent world can experience it in scale
mod.
