MEMORY MAKERS MAGAZINE INTRODUCES

               “CAMP MEMORY MAKERS”

CINCINNATI, OH – April 23, 2002 – MEMORY MAKERS, the leading magazine for scrapbook ideas, proudly announces the introduction of Camp Memory Makers, a 2-1/2 day scrapbooking-camp to be held in Grand Rapids, MI (July 11-13) at The Amway Grand Plaza Hotel, and in Keystone, CO (October 24-26) at Keystone Resort & Conference Center. Each camp will feature an extensive line-up of scrapbooking classes, plus camp-like activities that range from “cabin competitions” to a “campfire awards luncheon.”

Each Camp will bring together up to 600 enthusiastic scrapbookers who are eager to learn new ideas and techniques in a fun and interactive forum. Classes will vary from basic scrapbook design to more advanced techniques such as page embellishment and photo mosaics, and will be taught by industry experts (called “camp counselors”) including Michele Gerbrandt, Memory Makers’ founder, and Debra Mock, editor of Memory Makers magazine. Other topics include photo journaling; paper dolls; punch and tag art; heritage faux cross stitch; and bead and button art, just to name a few.

Camp Memory Makers will also feature two cropping parties, including a 24-hour “Pajama Party Cropping Event,” make & take demonstrations from leading manufacturers of scrapbooking materials, as well as a Camp Store that will feature some of today’s newest products. This fun-filled environment provides an opportunity for scrapbookers from around the country to share their common interest in a relaxed and creative setting, while filling the ever-present need to provide ongoing education and innovative methods to this burgeoning audience.

Registration is available exclusively via Camp Memory Makers’ website at www.campmm.com.  Online registration opens at 12:00 Noon EDT on May 20th for the Grand Rapids camp.  Online registration for the Keystone camp opens on August 19th at 12:00 noon EDT.
