You got Maniac Cop 2 right. Superior, superior trash. Caught it one night on satellite (it's been showing a lot there lately). Was so fascinated, caught it again (since I had missed the opening and the dispensing with Bruce Campbell, he of nose so sharp i could open letters). The accidental-electrocution was for Harrison to gain sympathy from Michelle (yes, I'm on a first-name basis with these people) so she'd talk to him after he told her he'd had wild monkey sex with his dead student. True, he could've just jammed his finge in the door really hard or faked a seizure but he wasn't exactly well. OH OH, now that I've written all that, I remember the bigger reason: it was all staged so it'd look like the dead chick was the one who chucked the radio into his shower; M was supp sed to think that DC was trying to kill 'em both, thereby creating unity amongst them. Hi Brian - read your review of The Stuff and agreed wholeheartedly with it. In that review, you ask if that was Eric Bogosian who played the store clerk? Well, being a fan of Bogosian and Talk radio - I asked him. And, for our sins, it IS him. Though you'd like to know. It also makes sense, I asked Roger Ebert and he told me to check the credits and look at the IMDB - two dull comments. But, one year earlier, bogosian is the star of Cohen's "Special Effects" (which i can't get my grubby hands on, b ing in Britain). So, yes, a cameo makesa sense, and to hear it from the horses mouth was a HUGE plus point. Anyway, keep up the good work. Catch ya later.

Hey Brian! I see you reviewed _What Lies Beneath_...too bad it didn't scare you like it scared me. I hadn't heard or read anything about it before I went in, excpet one review about it which only talked about the directing. About how the director was a fa of some horror movie director from the 30's who really got the audience "into" his flims by wiring the seats to shock you at the most suspenseful moments in the film. I read somewhere that Steven Speilberg (sp) wrote the story...or was that Stephen King? Well, it was Stephen Somebody. So, if you're like me and live in a shoe and don't pay attention to entertainment media, or if you're like me and you're a female, then you're right, the movie would be scary. Of course, if you're like me then your name is L ri too, and you own a cat instead of a bunny. ok I'm just getting silly now.

What a great, great web page this is. I was up until four last night reading reviews of movies I've already even seen. And, btw, why the hell is the bunny different colors in all of the different pictures? I think something's amiss here. I thought I was the only one afraid of the Snakeman when I was little. Or twelve. God Bless the Top Food "'n'" Drug video store. By the way, I saw Treble Charger open for the Foo Fighters on my birthday in 1997. I liked Treble Charger a lot more. Ever since I was little I haven't liked people with red hair. I had to catch the public bus home from like fourth grade until I could drive, and when I was waiting for the bus on the corner of 38th & McKinley this red-haired hooligan and his dimwitted lit le friends would always come and try and beat me up. You are an exception to that rule, and be proud of it.

some really fun reviews; nice to find someone who appreciates the finer attributes of atrocious flicks. my only major disagreement concerns ?blair witch?; allow me to quote dave barry: ?you don't need big stars [or a cohesive story, acting abilities and such; mm], an expensive production and a huge promotional budget to generate hype. All you need is a huge promotional budget to generate hype.? the movie had a nice idea, but truly SUCKE . Also, I would have put ?mad max I? instead of number III in the Best Ever list, and please consider ?true lies? for the Worst Ever, merely on the basis of it?s budget-to-suckness ratio. apart from this, keep up the righteous work.

I only saw a couple of your reviews. But I do have to say that I did like Deadly Blessing. the ending to it was Faith was acctually a boy that had a crush on Marleen Jenson's character.(Did you know Jenson was even a playmate and used to date David Lee R th). Another thing, if you liked Black Christmas try Death Dream. Its the only other horror movie directed by Bob Clark worth seeing and it is haaard to find. The story to it is kind of a update on "The Monkey's Paw".

I spent all day reading your web-site (ask Jim how busy we are here in Montreal), and I have to commend you on your review of In The Mouth of Madness. It takes some guts to put your heart out there like that, and made me want to check this movie out. Hi Brian, after only reading your reviews on the alt.horror newsgroup, I finally came to your page. Like I said to you earlier, I really like your reviews. Being a film & mediajournalist I also have to make reviews, and I really HATE to do it. I think it's very hard to say more than 'I like it'. The 'WHY' I like it part, that's the hard thing to explain to your readers. You don't seem to have trouble with this. It's very loose written, full of humour and relevant facts (ok, some irrelevant, but just fun to know). Compliments! The only thing I have to complain about is the way the pages are filled. Green letters on a black background are annoyingly to read. It looks nice, it reads like shit. Ok, I just have to ask this, what's with the rabbits?
